...there is nothing much I can do to change my situation but our leaders can do something. They can decide on whether to destroy our future or build the future of this country by investing in the children...

Before I begun my day, on impulse I checked twitter. I saw a tweet from VOY that said

If you only read one thing today, make sure it is this:

- a testimony from a 12 yr old from South Sudan.

So I clicked the link to read the story, a horror story from a 12 year old caught up in two worlds. The story really hit my soul. What makes this worse is this child! Feels the pain of trying to comfort his family.

Let me just try to comprehend this... A CHILD?! As I read on my stomach begins to form knots! No access to real healthcare or education.

At the age of 12 I certainly was not in a refugee camp, I was going to school and spending time with my family and friends! I was not aware of the world around me, I created my own world!

The saddest and most heart-breaking problem, there are so many children like this 12 year old boy! Children even younger! Who have experienced many events that most adults will never experience!

Why world, just why?

I wonder will happen to children in war-torn nations? I cannot even begin to think what?!

The worst ill feeling I have, is what can we do to help...
