The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology chapter of Youth Volunteers Without Frontiers in Ghana in November 2012 initiated a project titled Samaritan School.Students between the ages of 8 -14 meet with volunteer tutors during weekends to read books, work on homework, review class work, study for tests and do other kinds of extracurricular activities like sports.

YVWF is a youth-led organization that seeks to promote youth volunteerism and the mobilization of resources to improve the lives of the marginalized in the society. Through this initiative, we believe the potentials of young people will be identified, harnessed and channelled into activities that promote wealth creation and better living standards. This is a step towards achieving Goal One of the Millennium Development Goals and will further lead to the youth becoming patriotic and strategic agents of change.
