The world is occupied by men and women who strive to attain a height. In my everyday life, i have tried my best to affect, influence and sympathize with youths -- mostly girls. I don't know what made me stand for the right of girls, but i believe that there's a need for it. Or perhaps, it was due to my best friend untimely and unwanted pregnancy, at 16. Today, although i have no youth-led group, but i am proud to be a Feminist. Because every girls right is IMPORTANT, NECESSARY and WORTHWHILE. Mo...

That's the kind of question, you don't get often. Well, i have seen it; and how the firmament, with gaudy clouds and safe havens made a home for man. How a nation, as mighty as fate, worked in peace. How employers revised no preferential treatment; how schools were built and laid on transparent education, and how girls ''ill-fated right'', to education and health care became a thing of the past. The world is going to change soon, but when? Some may ask. The issue is, we're the CHANGE! The gover...

Not blogging on VOY and sharing proactive thoughts and topics, is like fishing without a bait. I have not been available due to exams, and it seems I am on a marathon that has no finish mark - I would love to get home (i.e. VOY), but the road has no end. I am here now - hale and hearty!. I love The Voices Of Youth Channel, because it is gives me an avenue to speak to the world and share my thoughts and opinions with youths who desire change in all ramifications. We are not youths who just have v...

My fathers and I I remember when the grass became a patriot on the sod and how growth was a midget in conflict. I remember when men couldn't feed and how wooden huts became a choice. I remember how the territory of slaves was carved from pain. I remember when my forefathers agreed to change the world. And how fate turned their hearts against each other. I remember when young girls were kidnapped, raped, and coerced for pleasure. And how it felt to have a sister. I remember the African pain and...

Coupled with the buzz of religious norms, the relationship with sexual health and development in most parts of the world - girls are a major entity. There are huge barriers raising the heights against change due to religious tenets and other viral misconceptions of girls sexual health by uneducated and uninformed dictators. Most Christian girls socialize and connect with youths of the opposite sex. Frankly, the main course for this, is to associate with the outside world and spread the word for...

I cannot speak of the number of deaths or give an estimation of the total number of youths that have lost their lives due to certain issues linked to a rapid desire for change, wealth and fame. But, one thing remains clear: The majority of deaths have occurred due to an abrupt change in the ramifications of socioeconomic standards altered by political thugs. This unwanted adjustment has made the need for man in a do or die affair. From the unlawful demand for peace and harmony youths have lost t...

From installing baby gates to fastening bike helmets and seat belts, parents put their kids' safety first. But once kids hit adolescence, the risks can become less obvious. When it comes to teen dating violence, for example, many parents are blind to the risk and so don't offer the help their children may need. Even when parents recognize teen dating abuse, their attempts to intervene can be off-target and often go ignored.

They aren't too many people who identify as LGBT in Nigeria. But we have been able to parry the disparities we have. Life and the circumstances it dictates has curbed the desire of man to either appreciate or pulverize its contributions. Many a time, I have tried to understand why there's no equality between youths of different sexual orientation and society. Some say, these youths have violated the laws of nature and existence but from what I have figured out, it's bluntly a choice. With choice...

Have you ever thought about home and a brighter horizon? Is it not obvious that our lives will continually be entangled with the visions of our bedrock, and our lineage? I have tried my best to understand the reasons why we cannot forget home even though we want to and we can't! It baffles me because " The essence of life which is carved from nature is fragmented in the fabric of our system". These fragments constitute a redefinition in life and its prospect. But today, the home we once talked a...
