Through the window I see, through the window I observe life. I see people smiling, celebrating, rejoicing, playing, laughing, caring, loving, but what I see often is grief, sadness, pain, loss, and suffering. I see people in need, in need of food, in need of love, in need of respect, in need of fame, in need of care, and in need of so much that they yearn for.I see them all but I cannot do everything for them, I cannot solve all of their problems, I cannot elevate them up knowing that they are f...

Dear Mother,I know that one day is not enough to express how grateful I am to you for all your day and night efforts. If I am today able to do something or if I am recognized for being who I am, it’s all because of you. Usually I do hug you every day and say thank you but today I thought to give you a beautiful gift, a gift of my words that will stay forever as a witness to how much I owe you and how much I love you my sweetest Mama.It is so hard to put my feelings into words when I write about...

I was raised in a culture where we were taught to discriminate and to judge on the basis of race, color, creed and gender. Sadly when I grew older I realized that I was not alone, we were all raised in the same manner. I see that when something happens in Paris, when people die, the world’s social media networks happen to show their condolences for those gone, but when something happens in Pakistan or in Syria or in Palestine, it seems ‘they’ don’t care.I wish someone would tell them that we are...

Roaming around Karachi city, for me, the best place in town is Dhaba (Chai Wala), where I go for peace of mind especially in the evening after work. Usually there is a Paan shop nearby where you can easily find your favorite snacks, depending on how you feel.At Dhaba, you will be served perfect Doodhpatti (milk tea) along with Paratha (a delicious local bread). There are some ‘burger’ Chai Walas too where you can taste a variety of Chai including the Kashmiri , my favorite one.Other than the usu...

You came to this world not to be a follower but to be a leader. The leader of your own world, where you have your own thoughts, your own actions, and most importantly your own destination. A purpose was born with your birth, the purpose of your life. It's a matter of life and death to fulfill your purpose, to achieve your dreams, for which you were born, and for which you came to this world. One may ask how to know the purpose of life. Well realizing one's purpose in life is an art. Every person...

I got hurt and hurt again and I finally stopped pleasing others. It's true that most of us are living an artificial life. We have been lost in a world of love, crush, fantasy, fiction, and gossips, in a life which has no purpose, no rules, no charm, and no boundaries. Everyone is running after self-accomplishments. Nobody actually cares about helping, motivating, encouraging others, the bright souls, who just need a little push, a little guidance, a little light to illuminate the w...

I was tired after work, I went to the pharmacy and bought medicines for around 2500 rupees, I took a rickshaw and left for home. We did not talk much, I gave him the fare and started to walk on my street. When I was about to enter into my house I realized I forgot my medicines in that rickshaw, I then ran to catch him but he was lost somewhere between the roads. Me and my brother looked for him on motorbikes but there was no sign of him. We then came back home after losing all ho...

I was acting as an observer but now I try to be a doer as well. I started to observe life a long time ago but then I realized how easy it is to observe things, observe nature, observe people and be sad about it. I asked myself, what’s next? Many days passed seeking for the right answer. Life seemed to me a burden, a burden full of pain, full of restrictions, full of despair, full of regrets, and full of justifications. It took me even more time to become a doer. Now when I se...

Life was never meant to be perfect. There is some joy in imperfection, in things left undone, in words left unsaid, in adventures left unexplored, in feelings left unexpressed, in pains left unhealed, in moments left unlived. It makes us realize that nothing will stay forever and life is to live with whatever we have got out of our imperfection. Perfect things are most wanted by imperfect beings. Most people live for themselves only, but there are few who live for other...
