Nowadays the demand for food in a growing world population is the most challenging of all food issues. The impacts of food to the global environment are imperative drivers for changes. The demand which is not managed well will bring about the greatest squandering of human and natural resources. According to an FAO-commissioned study (2011), one third of the food produced in the world for human consumption every year - approximately 1.3 billion tons - gets lost or wasted. Over the years there has been a rapid increase in global temperatures, excessive rainfall and high level of evaporation all around the world. All this occurs as a result of climate change through the global warming phenomenon. Hence global warming is basically the rapid increase in carbon-dioxide emissions mainly as result of burning fossil fuels undermining the international accord to reduce such emissions as addressed in the Kyoto Protocol adopted in 1997. It was signed by 186 countries in 200...

I will say that global warming is something that needs to be addressed because if nothing is done, serious problems will occur within the next hundred years which is not that far away.... But honestly I feel many people do not take these warnings on estimation times that were fairly ridiculous... Thought by thought and insight by insight, a place we call home is slowly turning into a danger zone.

From the Heart... It sometimes beats my imagination that we are created in the image and likeness of God, yet we as individuals are no way like HIM. God created us in His uniqueness and likeness, yet we are carried away by the things which are created by mere men like us. We are left without the main purpose and were created to have Dominion over all created things (Gen 1:26-30). He said I have made you a joint heir with Me, a co-creator. That means God has given us the ability...

Greetings, I am Hayagrish, a student of Lalaji Memorial Omega International School in Chennai, India and I would like to share my views on the importance of being a global citizen in this multicultural world. Every problem in the world, every global conflict whether it takes place hundreds of thousands of miles away, or right next door, is a global one. It’ll take a global effort with global citizens to stop them. We have a duty to protect each other as humans. It is time tha...

Tragedy after tragedy, same topic every decade with no absolute idea to do away with the scourge. Climate change with a negative effect in the lives of the old, the young and more especially the youth who are considered to be the leaders of tomorrow.
