The first work week of September has been enriching. I got to know about a number of eye-opening publications released this month. Watchlist on Children and Armed Conflict - a network of international non-governmental organizations, striving to protect children in war zones - released one of such reports. According to their website, Watchlist was formed in 2001 by a group of leading human rights and humanitarian organizations in response to the need for improved monitoring and re...

Humanity! Ubuntu! Bantu!anthu!abantu! All but words that have the same meaning in linguistic nature. Humanity! A symbol that once kept Africa united and saw people come together to fight a common era. Ubuntu! We came from all corners of the diaspora and fought a common era - slavery. Colour was not a definitive picture for there was no black, coloured , Indian, Hutu, Nsenga, Bemba, Tswana, Yoruba, Xhosa, Ngoni and all nativity but we were one Africa bound together in love...

Hi everyone! Current societies run faster than ever, that´s why new things are more desired and younger people have earned renewed appreciation because features of ourselves and our surroundings seem to change at the speed of sound. One thing that comes out of it as a beneficial fact is that younger people are now hugely recognized as subject of law but also seen no longer as just "the future" but also the present A way to illustrate this is by looking at how children and yo...

In my opinion, schools currently put too much pressure on children. In a way, it shows them the competitive side and the pressure of "being better than the other." Children are "formatted" in this competitive society and sometimes do not remove the "pleasure" of studying. They see the school as an obligation and not as a resource for building their own future. The pressure caused by the overload of homework, tests, etc. damages the student. Should we think in a more sustainable...

Hi! My name is Shradzy and I believe that everyone should be heard out. Firstly, (OBVIOUSLY) I think you can tell that I am the kind of person who will do a lot to achieve justice. The reason why I am writing this article is because I believe people should be heard out. Age. This thing we call 'age' is, in many ways, a global handicap. However, the only reason it is a handicap is because, we the people, make it one. Why should a child's voice be drowned out in the horde...

There is a dream in my heart: dream to help less fortunate children when I grow up and do it myself. I was born with all the facilities. I did not have any trouble of building my esteem fulfilling my needs. Now I have grown up. I can see the world. When I see the word, one thing has stopped in my heart. When I was a child, I had all my basic needs fulfilled. I did not have any trouble finding food, clothing or shelter. But there are thousands of children who do not have the child...
