First of all, I want to say Congratulations to the youth who have been selected as the Voices of Youth Bloggers and I am sure you will have an awesome experience. Voices of Youth is the best place for you to be heard by the world, in a good way. It’s because you can share your thoughts such as ‘What you Like’ or ‘What you don’t like’ about anything you have seen and heard. Instead of blaming each other for something wrong, you can think deeply, write, paint, or make a...

Yesterday morning, on 23 June at UNICEF NYHQ, there was a feature on “Community Theatre in Achieving Results for Children” that was part of UNICEF’s 2014 Spotlight series on Communication for Development (C4D) Innovations for Equity. This feature facilitated a panel discussion on how Community Theatre can be an effective platform for youth to identify, validate, solve, and express personal, social, or political issues critical to their lives and experiences. JUBA, South Sudan 16, June 2014 – Every time I close my eyes, I can still see images of the gunmen shooting and killing people. It feels like it happened yesterday. I’m afraid of closing my eyes or going to sleep because I re-live those bad days. I have nightmares about what I saw and they make me scream at night. For a while, I thought I was the only one going through this, but sometimes I hear my brothers and sisters screaming too. The strange thing about these nightmares...

I want our government to enforce regulations on how we can keep our surroundings clean. People should be told of what happens to the environment when it is not taken care of. Here is a picture that shows how Mongu, a town in the western part of Zambia, is not cared for by its own people... I wonder what would happen if this kind of dirt is allowed to pile up for more than 5 years.... Let's stand together and find a way to show these people how to keep our environment clean....

I am really honoured to be here and thank you for all that you do for the children worldwide BUT; There are thousands of children living on the streets, around us but we turn a blind eye! These hungry, lonely and helpless young children roam the streets day and night no where to go, no future, no education, no parents, no one cares. They are victims of poverty, domestic violence and orphanism, They hunt for food and hope and survival! They become again victims of...

I went to some places here in Mongu, Zambia and I did not like the way people of our country are treating the environment. Market places are becoming rubbish pits, litter is disposed of any which way. Is there a way in which we can stop this? How can we get the attention of these people and tell them how this is a discriminatory way of treating the environment? Our drainage system is supposed to be a means of controlling the flow of water during the winter season but is the same pe...
