Voices of Youth is a space for youth to read and see about specific issues, as well as provide their opinion or address issues throughout the world to the public. Every day we see an issue that really affects us within our own community. However, someone somewhere else doesn’t see the same thing, as they are seeing something else. This is the point of the Voices of Youth, for us to connect and share problems throughout the world.

The presentation for the sub-theme, "Sustainable Development" is good in acknowledging present day ways we can educate people universally on this topic. For example, through media. Commercials, advertisments, and popular websites that allow users to create pages or blogs furthers that idea. The sub-theme of Food Security recognize that the solution is not giving the people the food but to give them the ability to produce it themselves and to promote to not waste food.

In India, three hundred million people, about a fourth of the total population, live without access to sufficient electricity. Over one hundred thousand villages are yet to be electrified, and even the so-called electrified villages, have up to ten hours of power cuts or more every day. Villagers are forced to resort to other, cruder forms of power to light their homes after dark such as kerosene lamps. The government produces 12 billion liters of kerosene annually; however 5 billi...
