30% of children in developing countries, about 600 million people, live on less than $1 a day. The majority of these children are under five years old. It would only cost about 25 cents to give every child the essential needs they need to grow up big and strong. About every 4 seconds, a person dies of extreme hunger.
Currently, 842 million people are suffering from hunger worldwide (about 1 in 8 people). Though, it has gone down 17% from 1990-1992. Many countries are unable to meet the 2015 Millennium Development Goal because they do not receive the right amount of nutrition.
