We often understand the "future" as everything that is coming and is this that awakens us as young people a certain level of intrigue in these times, We don’t really know what to expect for the next 20 years and gradually started to lose hope in the international agreements signed by our countries, as these have shown us with his attitude that a lot for these commitments are carried real terms, so that in this way the word is translated into action that will ensure the construction of a sustainable lifestyle.

The future is something we build into every moment of our lives, so that everything we do or fail to do today will undoubtedly have implications for the future and determine individual behavior and the development lifestyle that we have. As young people we must focus in the issue that “the future is our right” and that what our habits must change gradually, the laws will change as we do the same, and are keeping with the times in which we live and the future we want. The next October humanity came to 7mil million individuals, which invite us to act from this moment to be able to take a course together filled with responsibilities, freedoms and commitments that we can meet without affecting the development of future generations, and even our own.

We have evolved from the hand of our planet; let us remember that it is the humanity that is in danger, not the planet. As a species we are really threatened by our own cause, today we can not say that we are better prepared to face a possible extinction as has happened to other species throughout history, seems that we have not learned much about the disappearance of civilizations as the case of the people Rapanui (Easter Island Chile) which has recently been concluded that ... "The reasons behind of the catastrophe in the civilization of Easter Island are complex, but essential parts of the fact that the exhaustion of finite resources, including food and construction materials, which caused a major famine and the collapse of their society ".... (William Basener, 2010)

In recent years we have seen as the health and the freedom of the presents generations has been directly affected because no steps were taken to avoid the consequences that many countries, peoples and individuals are suffering around the world, just by looking at the situation on the so-called "environmental refugees" who due to a strong environmental impact, resulting in total or partial destruction of ecosystems and other weather situations, which are often produced in other countries, but they are forced to leave their territories. As young people we need to assume that all actions and decisions we make in a conscious and free, must necessarily be based on ethical treatment of all beings who inhabit this planet, where the ideals of freedom, equality and fraternity to prevail over private interests.

Our duty as young people should not be traced simply to protest and complain, we need to give the example and we can be as equal to integrated and work cooperatively among ourselves, the intolerance and disrespect for diversity are key factors that trust between us is not the best and that is precisely why is that internationally we have been unable to achieve real and binding agreements. We must remember that "The law is the will binding autarkic and inviolable" (Stammler). As is the power we have as human beings to develop our activities to other individuals without this means of killing or exploitation of some by others.

It is not a secret that to change the world we must begin by changing ourselves; we must assert our universal condition of freedom, where we can coexist through a binding regulation of our external action as a country. While the mistake is part of human nature, that is not an excuse for unsustainable development patterns that limit the long term and even condemn us. This is the moment where we need to assert our status as rational beings, which we always want to live better and in this moment that can´t be above the law and the freedom of the future generations.

As young people we must understand that we are not responsible for the planet we are receiving from our parents, but for sure we are part of history being written and no doubt for a second, we need to be protagonists in the construction of the home planet that we for ourselves and future generations, where we can enjoy all the benefits afforded us by the planet without having to worry about survival as a species.

The future is our right, for the simple fact of being indivisible. We must understand that we have the right to a better future, we can start talking about evolution, we must understand that the deprivation of optimal enjoyment of natural resources for everyone in fact negatively affects us all equally, so the need to respect and protect all cultures and individuals that surround us can not aspire to respect biodiversity if we are unable to respect the diversity of thought.

We must to engage that States adopt positive measures to facilitate the enjoyment of basic human rights, understanding that environmental rights and the right to a future can not be subject to negotiation by purely private interests. We must understand that past, present and future consequences of what we have done and what we will do, so everything is in our hands and we have not more excuses.

Solemos entender por “Futuro” a todo lo que está por venir y es precisamente eso lo que para nosotros los jóvenes despierta cierto nivel de intriga en estos tiempos, realmente no sabemos qué podemos esperar para los próximos 20 años y poco a poco empezamos a perder la esperanza en los acuerdos internacionales que firman nuestros países, pues estos nos han demostrado con su actitud que hace falta mucho para que esos compromisos se lleven a términos reales, para que de esta manera la palabra se convierta en acciones concretas que nos aseguren la construcción de un modelo sostenible.

El futuro es algo que construimos en cada momento de nuestras vidas, por lo que todo lo que hagamos o dejemos de hacer hoy, sin duda alguna tendrá repercusiones en el futuro y determinara la conducta individual y el modelo de desarrollo que tendremos. Como jóvenes debemos enfocarnos en que el futuro es nuestro derecho y que a medida que cambiemos progresivamente nuestras costumbres, estaremos provocando que las legislaciones también lo hagan y estén acordes a los momentos en lo que vivimos y con el futuro que queremos.

El próximo mes de octubre la humanidad llegara a los 7mil millones de individuos, lo que nos invita a actuar desde este preciso momento para que juntos poder asumir un rumbo lleno de responsabilidades, libertades y compromisos que podamos cumplir sin tener que afectar el desarrollo de las futuras generaciones, e incluso la nuestra.

Hemos evolucionado de la mano de nuestro planeta, tengamos presente que no es la tierra la que está en peligro, en realidad somos nosotros como especie los que nos encontramos amenazados por nosotros mismos, hoy en día no podemos decir que estamos mejor preparados para enfrentar una posible extinción como le ha ocurrido a otras especies a lo largo de la historia, parece que tampoco hemos aprendido mucho sobre la desaparición de civilizaciones como el caso del pueblo Rapanui (Isla de Pascua Chile) donde recientemente se ha concluido que … "Las razones detrás de la catástrofe en la civilización de la isla de Pascua son complejas, pero parten esencialmente del hecho de que se agotaron los recursos finitos, incluyendo alimentos y materiales para la construcción, lo que causó una importante hambruna y el colapso de su sociedad"…. (William Basener ,2010)

En los últimos años hemos visto como la salud y la libertad de muchas generaciones ha sido directamente afectada porque no se adoptaron las medidas necesarias para evitar las consecuencias que muchos países, pueblos e individuos están sufriendo alrededor del mundo, basta simplemente con mirar la situación sobre los llamados “Refugiados Ambientales” quienes debido a un fuerte impacto ambiental, traducido en la destrucción total o parcial de sus ecosistemas y a otras situaciones climáticas, que muchas veces son producidas en otros países, estos se ven forzados a abandonar sus territorios. Es necesario que como jóvenes asumamos que todas las acciones y decisiones que tomemos de modo consciente y libre, necesariamente deben estar basados en un trato ético con todos los seres que habitamos en este planeta, donde los ideales de la libertad, igualdad y fraternidad prevalezcan sobre los intereses particulares.

Nuestro deber como jóvenes no debe se remontar simplemente a protestar y reclamar, es necesario que demos el ejemplo y podamos sentirnos como iguales para poder integrarnos y trabajar de manera cooperativa entre nosotros mismos, la intolerancia y el irrespeto a la Diversidad han sido factores fundamentales para que la confianza entre nosotros no sea la mejor y es precisamente por eso es que en el plano internacional hemos sido incapaces de lograr acuerdos reales y vinculantes.

Es necesario recordar que "El derecho es la voluntad vinculante, autárquica e inviolable" (Stammler). Por lo que se trata de la potestad que tenemos como humanidad para poder desarrollar nuestras actividades particulares frente a otros sin que esto signifique el sacrificio o la explotación de unos por otros. Para nadie es un secreto que para cambiar el mundo hay que empezar por cambiar nosotros mismos, debemos hacer valer nuestra condición universal de libertad, donde podamos coexistir gracias a una regulación vinculante de nuestras acciones externas como países. Si bien el equivocarse forma parte de la naturaleza humana, eso no es excusa para justificar modelos de desarrollo insostenibles que en el largo plazo nos limitan y hasta condenan.

Este el preciso momento donde tenemos que hacer valer nuestra condición de seres racionales, en la cual siempre vamos a querer vivir mejor y ese querer vivir mejor en este momento no puede por encima del derecho y la libertad de las futuras generaciones Como jóvenes debemos entender que no somos responsables del planeta que estamos recibiendo de nuestros padres, pero de seguro formamos parte de la historia que se está escribiendo y sin dudarlo ni por un segundo, tenemos que ser protagonistas en la construcción del planeta que queremos de hogar para nosotros y para las generaciones futuras, donde podamos disfrutar de todas las bondades que nos brinda el planeta sin tener que preocuparnos por sobrevivir como especie.

El futuro es nuestro derecho, por el sencillo hecho de ser indivisible. A medida que hagamos que se entienda que tenemos el derecho a tener un futuro mejor, podemos comenzar a hablar de evolución, debemos entender que la privación del disfrute optimo de los recursos naturales para todos en realidad nos afecta negativamente a todos por igual, por lo que es necesario respetar y proteger todas las culturas e individuos que nos rodean, no podemos aspirar a respetar la biodiversidad si somos incapaces de respetar la diversidad de pensamiento. Debemos enmarcar nuestro radio de acción en comprometer a que los Estados adopten medidas positivas para facilitar el disfrute de los derechos humanos básicos, entendiendo que los derechos ambientales y el derecho a un futuro no pueden ser sujetos de negociación por intereses netamente particulares. Es preciso comprender que nuestro pasado, presente y futuro son consecuencias de lo que hemos hecho y de lo que haremos, por lo que todo queda en nuestras manos y para nosotros las excusas se han agotado.
