Food is needed in order to live , as such we need to eat everyday to function. As all things in this world, food is scarce. Most of us buy food instead of making food ourselves. Not everyone can buy food, especially the poor. They either have to work really hard in a low paying job just to survive and the ones who cannot work or are still young may have to steal instead.

Food prices are increasing and the poor are not getting any richer. Around the world millions of people starve to death while people who have enough to eat often end up wasting food. As the population in the world increases, the food production should increase as well. The ever growing problem of food shortages around the world means that poor people are dying out of hunger as they cannot afford to buy food.

Poverty will always exist but at least we should make food prices affordable so they would not starve to death. Ever increasing food prices will cause a lot of problems to society as a whole if not keep in check as people may be forced to steal in order to survive...

Past Mistakes and Consequences

In the past, before pollution destroyed our planet, our home Earth was a wonderful place to live. The air was fresh, the water from the rivers was clean, and the land was fertile. The world, back then, was a much nicer place. Although technology has change our lives for the better, we often forget about the consequences that may arise from harming the environment.

For instance, in order to drive, we need petrol or gas which produces carbon emission which pollutes the environment. We win when it comes to getting from point A to point B or transporting cargo but we lose at the end from having to breathe exhaust fumes from our cars and polluting the planet.

Cars were built with the good intention to make transportation faster and easier but we failed to address the environmental problems associated with cars. We are all aware that environmental problems affect us but some people choose to ignore it and create more environmental problems instead. Is it because of greed, a lack of education or just pure ignorance? It took us a while to realize what we had done to the environment but more people are taking steps now to solve our past mistakes and create green technologies to build a better future. Is it too late to save the planet? I don't think so but let's not create more pollution. We have too much of it already!

Everyday, when watching the news or reading the newspaper, there is always some war-related news: terrorist attacks, invasions of countries, deaths, collapses of countries, etc. There is enough problems with the environment. Why make war when you can focus on much better things? Wars are created by greedy people. I do not like war, there is no actual winner except for politicians and arms dealers since they benefit most from the war.

I feel blessed to live in a country where there is no civil war or invasions from other countries. For the most part, I feel safe and secure but who knows what the future holds for Asians countries. War might come to us next. That fear is probably exaggerated and hopefully peace will prevail.
