Women at a protest

Malala Yousafzai said, "We realise the importance of our voices voices only when we are silenced."

We have been silenced for centuries and during these years of silence, we eventually realised the importance of our voices.

Speak up. Make sure your voice is heard even when certain evil forces are attempting to silence you with all their power because believe me, words cut deeper than swords.

Let's collectively fight for the rights that we have been denied for years. Here is how you can make a difference: when your friend tells that her significant other abuses her, speak up for her. When a female colleague/student is being belittled by male colleagues/students, speak up for her. When a woman is being forced to have a baby, speak up for her. When you read that a woman has been brutally raped, speak up for her. When a woman is being judged on the basis of her clothing, speak up for her.

Wherever and whenever you see the opportunity to help a woman, muster the courage to speak up and make sure that justice is being delivered and when you are speaking up for another woman, you will realise that you are also speaking up for yourself because in one way or the other our journeys are similar and so is our destination; a land of equality, peace, harmony and love.

Look at patriarchy in the eye and say, "I am powerful. I am brave. I'am talented. I am beautiful. I am and will always be all that you say I cannot be. I am a woman."

Let them hear your voice loud and clear. Join in the fight for equality. Do your part and remember that you are also fighting for yourself. Remember that empowered women, empower women.

SHOW THE WORLD THE POWER OF WOMANHOOD!
