Someday Again

Message from the moon

Now that the sun has set, and darkness has fallen upon my path I can feel the warmth leave my body as the cold night settles before me.

An unforeseen force crept in without a sound clutched my mouth  and plunged me into a path unknown.

Frightened of what might await I have no choice but to walk it blindly.

I can see the shadow people, people I once knew.

I can feel their pain in my chest as I gasp for air, fighting an invisible force that is clenching my throat, till I can no more.

The unforeseen force spread across like wildfire that could not be tamed.

In a blink of an eye, walls crowded as far as the eye could see.

I see figures staring blankly at the shadow walls.

So much misery and sadness cloud their mind from the thoughts of the shadow people.

I know I am not alone.

I gaze upon the midnight sky searching for answers, was this the end or just the beginning of this path?

A ray of light touches my feet, the moon assures me there’s hope for that someday again.

I watch the moon fall away as aurora awakened.
