World Book Day is celebrated every year on 4th March to focus on the work and contributions of authors all around the world. Celebrating the day motivates us to discover and read more books. Every year it's celebrated with a new theme to encourage people to read. This year's theme is to "share a story". World Book Day gives opportunities to people all around the world to read and share what they read.

With a magic carpet of words and pages, I explored new worlds without leaving my house during the lockdown. Books are a kind of escape into places where anything can happen. It's nowhere - so it can become anywhere. Whenever I read books, I forget I'm in lockdown. Instead, it feels as if I'm flying with the book I'm reading to a different world; one where there is no lockdown at all.
