With the year ending, most of us would be planning where to have the last party of 2021 and the first of 2022—that new club downtown or a house party? It’s no doubt an occasion to rejoice and look back at 2021 with mixed emotions of joy and nostalgia. Amidst all the noise and bells of Christmas and the New Year, there’s few who choose to stay quiet, not always by choice but also because it’s hard for them to socialise or maybe because they’re away from their loved one/s. Some choose to spend the holidays quietly because maybe they can’t afford a big fancy meal or night out. Whatever the reason, there would be someone at some place in the world scrolling through social media watching all the New Year bash photos of their friends. This post is for them, that person. It could be hard to be alone this holiday or any day of the year for a fact. Here are some helplines they could use if they wish to talk to someone this holiday season, in case they’re feeling alone or low.
