Do what you love and you will never work a day in your life

Where do you want to be in Life?

This is a difficult question to deal with: life is full of options and paths, the world seems so large, with so many passions and lifestyles to choose from. Choosing a few avenues to fully explore is not an easy task especially if you’re not prepared ahead of time.

Even if people grow up with a clear idea of what they want to be, when they reach that point, they start having doubts if that is what they really want and whether it is right for them, as the world doesn't always work out that way.

What seemed so wonderful at the beginning may not be so wonderful at the end. Sure, it's common to never quite get where you want to end up, but also not uncommon to find it unsatisfied when you get there.

Some people are lucky enough to know exactly what they want to do in life, and love the career path they've followed. Others, however, don't know where their true passions lie or pursue their dream career only to find out later on that they hate it. Doing what you love and loving what you do is important for long-term career satisfaction and success, so keep trying new things until something comes along that just feels right.

With any luck, I may have finally found what works for me, that discovery came after a long and extreme period of searching. There is no academic path I followed to achieve that, but let's see what I did… maybe it will work for you too.

1.Own your uniqueness

We all have gifts, you must believe that you have something special. Once you discover it you can shake the world. No one else has your unique blend of talents, wisdom, strength, skills, and creativity. We all have something great to offer, and learning to accept and own what makes you unique is crucial to sharing your gifts with the world.

2. Make time to make it happen

We have to agree that finding what you love in life needs lots of time and effort, you have to be patient, accept the challenge and schedule time in your calendar to come up with a plan to get there.

3. Write a love list

"Take a step back and figure out what it is that you enjoy doing, including as many specifics and details as possible," Zeitchik said. Come up with the list of things that bring you joy and attracts your attention. Remember what you loved as a child, prioritize them then translate your word into actions.

4. When You Know It's Not Working, Quit Fast

Sometimes you try half of the list and unexpectedly you get upset that some of the things that you have tried might seem a waste of time afterward. But it is NOT, it is a sign that these things are not your passion so move on immediately and put another list.

5. Surround yourself with supportive people

And if you didn’t find them go alone, you will find them on your way pursuing your dreams.
The people around you will influence your development, they might make you feel depressed and unconfident or they might be supportive. However, believing in yourself and abilities is quite important to go along on this long journey.

6. Stand up and make decisions

We often adore easy solutions that won’t take time, or physical and mental effort, but believe me the challenging things have another taste. Making decisions and taking the responsibility of it is the most important tool to shape and develop your personality, and in every step of your journey, you will have to make many decisions so don’t be afraid and just do it.

7. "Success means different things to different people” (Ziggy Marley)

In your life, you might meet people who consider the dearest achievement for you, simply a silly or insignificant. What is essential to you maybe not for others and vice versa. Regardless of how they see it, the most important thing is how you see it in your own mind's eye. No one can tell you if what you want is right for you or not, you should know what work with you.

I hope you will find these seven tips useful for you, as I tried to come up with the things that really worked with me.

I’d like to hear from you, What would you add to the list? Share in the comments section below!
