Nelson Mandela

Dedicating his 67 years fighting for social injustice, apartheid, making staunch efforts against racism, getting triumph by setting up democracy, his long -ought victories made him a global icon. Nelson Mandela - a light which has lit up the world of many black lives suffering racism - this man has indeed changed the world mystically.

Mandela, who was sentenced to life imprisonment, became a powerful symbol of resistance for the rising anti-apartheid movement, repeatedly refusing to compromise his political position to obtain his freedom. In May 1994, Mandela was inaugurated as South Africa’s first black president, a position he held until 1999, proving how colours can’t just let one be dominated and the other be the ruler!

Mandela always showed extreme tenacity, battling all those prejudices and social inequalities his fellows were facing. His life is a lesson for each of us that we should never turn blind when human rights are being massively violated!

Nelson Mandela’s dedication of life for liberty of his people still stands as an inspiration for human rights advocates around the globe. We as Youths and future of this world have enough lessons to learn from his life and to get influenced.

Mandela you are the light that never stops lightening the ways for people!

“I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if need be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die.”
