In the 21st century, no one can go far without proper education, yet so many children around this globe do not get the opportunity to get educated. Why would this still be happening even though all of us know that education is the main priority to prepare children to face this big world in the future?
All I can say about this, is mention the ignorance of the governments and the community for not taking the education system seriously. Every child deserves an education, and there are plenty of ways to solve this problem. Not only the governments but the NGOs also have to be active in helping children around the world. It can be seen that the percentage of children getting a proper education has visibly decreased, especially during the Covid-19 outbreak. I have learned from this outbreak the importance of people from the community in lending a hand to help children obtain their right to a proper education.
In my country specifically, the Covid-19 outbreak has caused many children to stop going to school and instead help out around the house. This has concerned our government. How will our country develop if no one can take over our country? Our government dealt with the situation by giving out free tablets to families with lower incomes and accessible data for children to continue studying online. In addition, NGOs provided free online tutoring for children from low-income families to help children between the ages of 7 to 12 catch up on the reading lessons they left behind due to school restrictions.
These are examples that the governments and people worldwide can take measures to ensure access to education. The world should invest more in the education sector than anything else, as children will be the future leaders of our world.
