One Smile

Sunflower smiling

Did you know that a simple smile can trigger the release of neuropeptides that improve your neural communication and neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin, which can boost your mood?

One smile to someone you see on the street, your teacher, or an employee in a store can make a difference. You never know what someone is going through that day, and maybe a smile makes them feel a bit better!

A smile every day to a teacher, someone taking your order at a restaurant, a librarian, or anyone you come into contact with can do so much. It can lead to a different connection between you and others. You might engage in more conversations and greetings that boost your mood and theirs.

Smiling more often also gives off positive vibes from you and encourages others too because they will likely smile back.

You should also smile for yourself. It's been seen that smiling can relieve stress and lower heart rate. Even if you're not interested in any of those benefits, smiling does no harm.

Just keep in mind that one smile can change everything.

“A warm smile is the universal language of kindness.” – William Arthur Ward
