1. User Agreement
VOY is targeted at empowering young people from ages 13 and older to express themselves. If you are under 16 years old, we encourage you to discuss your use and engagement on this site with your parents or guardians and make sure that they consent to your use of this site.
2. Account Creation and Security
In order to submit content on this site, you will need to register with VOY and create an account. Creating an account is optional, but doing so will allow you to participate on the site more actively – you’ll be able to submit blogs and participate in forums, for example. If you choose to create an account, you will be asked to provide certain personal information about you, such as your display name, e-mail address, date of birth, country, and gender.
You can also create a VOY account through your Facebook or Twitter account. To do this, click on the relevant icon and follow the steps. You will have to login into your Facebook/Twitter account and grant permission for VOY to access certain information you have shared with Facebook/Twitter – such as your email address, your name and your profile photo. Once you create your account you can edit it and choose a different display name or profile picture.
We encourage you to select a display name that does not disclose your real name or other information that could identify you – especially if you are under the age of 18.
If you have any reason to believe that your account is no longer secure – if your password has been stolen, for instance – you should change your password as soon as possible. If you cannot access your account to change your password, notify us at email@example.com.
3. Rules of Usage
VOY is a community that is open to and welcomes young people from around the world. Due to the diversity of our users, VOY aims to create an environment where any young person feels comfortable, no matter their nationality, gender, cultural background, religion, sexual orientation or political conviction.
VOY’s core values are positivity, openness, respect, inclusiveness, dialogue, collaboration and constructiveness.
VOY encourages the expression by young people on a wide variety of topics, and recognizes that politics and policy are an important part of the global conversation. We believe that attacks, insults, and political polemics do not foster tolerance or support an inclusive community of ideas.
Accordingly, VOY is not intended for partisan politics, nor for extremist or inflammatory positions. You should not make allegations against, advocate for, nor belittle or insult parties, party platforms and political leaders. Additionally, many countries have specific restrictions for political content, and you’re responsible for complying with them.
